One of the most absurd things I’ve ever seen on YouTube is native speakers teaching us how to learn their native language, so absurd.
One has to have learned a foreign language in order to give advice on how to learn one.
-- AJ Hoge says that he studied Spanish in junior high and high school and also in college but says he speaks Spanish "like a 3-year-old child, even 2" - a language considered one of the easiest to learn for native speakers of English, especially for Americans - 600 hours/6 months to learn.
-- AJ Hoge has been living in Japan for at least 10 years, but there isn't a single video of him speaking Japanese.
How can a person who has failed in his attempts to learn 2 foreign languages, teach other people how to learn a foreign language???
Why can't AJ Hoge use his 7 rules of powerful and effortless English speaking to learn a foreign language effortlessly in 6 months??
If AJ Hoge has a working and proven method for speaking a foreign language powerfully and effortlessly like a native speaker then why is he taking another teacher's lessons?
Somebody explain, PLEASE.
